Gastrointestinal Advanced Care Practitioner

The Division of Surgery at NUH is formed of 22 specialities caring for patients across 3 campuses.
You will be an integral member of team Surgery working alongside operational pathways and teams to provide specialist advice and management

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are committed to the development of all our team members both educationally and clinically, however relevant specialist knowledge and skills to degree level or equivalent in healthcare and gastrointestinal diseases is essential. The post-holder will be expected to undertake an MSc in advanced care practice funded and supported as part of the post. Upon successful completion of the qualification the post holder will take up a role as an advanced care practitioner.

Essential criteria
- Current registration with professional body
- Degree
- ability to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing
- Evidence of teaching, supervision & assessment skills.
Desirable criteria
- Post-registration qualification or training relevant to speciality.
- Registered Independent Non-Medical prescriber.
- ALS Provider/Instructor.
- Working in New Ways Packages relevant to the specialty.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Worked as or working as a band 6 or above.
- experience of working in gastrointestinal surgery
Desirable criteria
- Management and leadership experience.
- Evidence of involvement in policy and practice change.
Communication and relationship skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work within a multi-professional team
- Ability to present and receive complex information.
- Assertiveness skills and the ability to deal with interpersonal conflict.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of multidisciplinary teaching.
- Evidence of conflict management.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
