Events Assistant Apprentice


 If you are looking for a new challenge and are passionate about Events; an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Assistant Apprentice to join our Stop Smoking team in Camden and Islington.

You will be employed as an Events Assistant Apprentice and one of the main responsibilities of the post-holder will be to complete their apprenticeship successfully.

This will include attending the college delivering the apprenticeship, completing assignments for successful completion of the Apprenticeship, working within your scope of competence but also putting your learning as an Events Assistant apprentice into practice and attending all tri-partite meetings with your college advisors and Trust links.

You will also be an employee of CNWL and when not at college you will be expected to work as an Events Assistant to support the team in planning events which raise awareness of the service, as well as supporting in the promotion of national awareness days and events and participating in training days.

This role will lead on the planning and execution of internal and external event planning, including communication with stakeholders.

You will possess good communications skills with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen to others’ views, respect and value individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. You will be willing to learn and implement infection prevention and control measures in community settings.

CNWL’s Addictions directorate Stop Smoking Team in Camden and Islington is an established team with a friendly, supportive culture. There is a visible and supportive management team and a strong emphasis on training and professional development opportunities. Support to prepare candidates for interview will be provided.

Our Stop Smoking services are dedicated to helping reduce the harm caused by tobacco dependency; helping people overcome their dependency on tobacco and helping clients and their families make significant changes to improve their health and wellbeing. 1. Assisting the Team with a high number of events in various locations

2. Attend both internal and external events

3. Promoting events across all social media platforms and other areas

4. Supporting with logistical and administrative support

5. Maintaining records of all bookings e.g. venue and catering

6. Assisting with creative decisions

7. Attend necessary meetings as the event contact

8. Ad-hoc duties at events including guest list management and directions to sites

9. Helping set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion

10. Ensure all items required for events are ordered and arrive on time
