Works Supervisor


 

Due to securing several long term contracts in addition to the continued growth in other areas of the business, we are looking to recruit a reliable, motivated and deadline-driven works supervisor to oversee multiple sites within the forestry and renewable sectors. The works supervisor's responsibilities include recruiting new team members, educating staff on safety , organising resources/materials for each project, monitoring work performance and making recommendations for improvement. You should ensure that projects stay within budget and provide weekly reporting to Directors.

Preferred Qualifications:

CSCS Gold Card or CSCS Black Card

SSSTS OR SMSTS

IOSH Managing Safely

NEBOSH

Driving licence essential

Based in Dumfries, sites will predominately be within Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire but we do work on projects throughout Scotland.

Works Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.
  • Monitoring processes, and providing training and team building sessions are required.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.
  • Scheduling regular meetings with clients, site, managers, and staff.
  • Preparing site paperwork, compiling reports, budget tracking, project plans, and presenting them to Directors.
  • Ability to manage several sites across a large geographical area is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
