As a Homeless
Prevention Support Officer you will support people to find
accommodation and assist them to develop the skills and knowledge they may need to sustain
their tenancy. You will work with the other officers in the operational
delivery of housing related support and homelessness prevention.
You will
need to be a good communicator and feel comfortable contacting professionals
from other agencies and working with customers in a positive way to resolve
issues which are identified.
The post
holder will ideally have experience of working within a support role in housing
or a related field. You will have experience of working within a team, the
ability to communicate effectively and have the experience of dealing with
clients that are often vulnerable and experiencing personal challenges. You
will be able to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated and resilient.
This post
will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
