An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join the Emergency Surgical Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, a busy surgical admissions ward. The applicant must have excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and undertake new skills.
Theatre Direct is a 14 bedded ward and has a 6 bedded trolley bay. The Same Day Surgical Assessment Unit also sits and works alongside ESU with an Acute Surgical Triage service which caters for 12 patients who are able to sit in this area of the ward. We strive to provide excellent patient care and create effective but safe patient flow throughout the hospital. As a Band 3 joining our Nursing Team you will be expected to work within both areas of our service. We work closely with our surgical team of doctors so you must have excellent communication skills.
