Role Description
Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive
Rate: £15 p/h for 25 - 30 hours per month
About the company:
The British Grooms Association (BGA) and the Equestrian Employers Association (EEA) are non-profit organisations that support people working in the equestrian industry.
The BGA is a professional membership association that supports grooms in the UK throughout their career, providing advice, education and speaking up on issues that affect them.
The EEA supports Equestrian Employers, providing advice & education on important topics relating to effective business management and good employment standards.
About the role:
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to build, implement and optimise digital and social media marketing campaigns for the BGA and EEA.
We have a busy content calendar of campaigns running throughout the year and we are looking for a digital marketer to help us maximise their effectiveness. You will work with our in-house Marketing team to improve campaign performance across Google
AdWords, Instagram and Facebook.
It would be great if the successful candidate has a knowledge of the equestrian world, in order to really “put themselves in the shoes” of our target audience, although this is not essential.
This can be a part time role or would consider becoming a client of a set up freelancer.
The role is 100% virtual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with our Marketing team to plan digital campaigns that will really connect with our target audiences.
- Plan, create and continually optimise campaigns in Google AdWords (including keywords, targeting options, ad copy, bid management etc).
- Plan, create and continually optimise campaigns on Facebook and Instagram (including ad formats, post copy & scheduling, targeting options etc)
- Carry out A/B tests as appropriate, to take a data-driven approach to campaign optimisation.
- Monitor our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, including suggesting ideas for posts/campaigns, or highlighting any issues to the in-house Marketing team.
- Measure campaign performance using web/social analytics tools and suggests ways to improve results.
- Report findings and insights to colleagues, in order to share learnings on how future campaigns could be improved.
- Please note, you will not be required to write the copy for the campaigns themselves (this will be taken care of in-house) – instead you will only need to tailor the content you receive for the relevant platform.
About you:
You will have at least 3 years’ work experience as a Digital/Social Media Marketer and will be able to demonstrate how you have managed SEM/Social Media accounts on behalf of one or more businesses, including showing examples of how your work has improved their performance. Ideally, you will have the following skills:

- Experience of building advertising campaigns in Google AdWords, Facebook and Instagram.
- Audience segmentation and targeting
- Keyword/Bid management
- Campaign Management, testing and optimisation
- Data analysis and reporting
- High standard of written communication in English
- Be a team player
- Knowledge of the equestrian industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
Qualifications (desired):
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or similar
- A CIM/IDM or other relevant industry qualification
- Demonstrable role -related professional experience, in lieu of academic qualifications.
